Due to the corona pandemic, also this year the victims of the bombing of the Lübeck Bay on May 3rd, 1945 can not be commemorated publicly in Neustadt. Instead, the following online events are available on May 3rd, 2021:
Silent commemoration without guests at the memorial in Neustadt-Pelzerhaken. The commemoration will be broadcast live here starting at 10:00 a.m.

At 11 a.m., the commemorative video of the Amicale Internationale KZ Neuengamme with greetings from AIN Vice President Jean-Michel Gaussot, survivor Marian Hawling and the son of a Cap Arcona victim Bernard Jeune, will then be released online.
The commemoration ceremony marking the 76th anniversary of the end of the war and the liberation of the concentration camps at the Neuengamme concentration camp memorial will also take place without guests present on site. Instead, it will be broadcast live on the Internet by NDR starting at 5 p.m. The Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial and the Amicale Internationale KZ Neuengamme will commemorate the anniversary of the liberation with speeches, musical contributions and a silent remembrance at the International Memorial of the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial, as well as with a special multimedia reportage.
